SponsorSkip is a Chrome extension that skips the sponsor reads inside YouTube videos. Instead of waiting for viewers to tag each sponsorship, it reads the video's captions with AI, finds the sponsor segment and jumps past it while you watch, cut on the spoken word. It works on brand-new uploads as soon as captions are available. In our test on 20 new videos it skipped 95% of sponsor time automatically.

Undo, progress bar and transcript

Detected segments are marked on YouTube's progress bar and listed in Chrome's side panel with a searchable transcript, and one click on Undo reverses any skip. SponsorSkip does not block YouTube's own ads. English videos with captions are supported for now.
