Harker
Private voice-to-text that works anywhere you type.
About Harker
Harker is a voice-to-text app for macOS that transcribes on your own machine.
Press a shortcut anywhere you type, speak, and clean text lands at your cursor, in an email, a Slack thread, a document, a terminal, or a code editor.
The transcription model runs locally, so your audio is never uploaded, and dictation keeps working with no internet connection at all.
The free tier is unlimited: no word cap, no weekly quota, no trial clock, and no account required.
How it works
Hold or tap a global shortcut of your choosing, speak naturally, then release.
Harker transcribes on-device and inserts the text directly into whatever field the cursor is already in. There is no separate window to open, nothing to copy and paste, and no dictation mode to switch into.
Premium adds a cloud model that rewrites, refine or reshape what you dictated. Only the transcribed text is sent, never the audio. Nothing is stored or used for training.
