ATCpal
Practice ATC radio calls out loud
About ATCpal
ATCpal is an AI air traffic controller that student pilots talk to out loud.
The radio is what makes most students freeze, and flight training barely lets you rehearse it. You get a handful of hours across a whole certificate, all of them in a moving aeroplane with someone listening. ATCpal moves that practice to the ground, where you can say a call badly twenty times and nothing happens.
You make a real call, the controller answers, and the flight moves on. Your readback is then checked word for word against a fixed answer key built from the FAA AIM, AC 90-66 and the Pilot/Controller Glossary, so a missed hold-short is always caught. The grade is a deterministic check, not a language model's opinion.
201 lessons across 11 phases, from your first call to Ground through to IFR clearances and emergencies. A checkride, drills aimed at what you actually miss, cross-country flights and 34 written guides. FAA, ICAO or Transport Canada phraseology.
One graded call a day is free.
